Well, I am officially so pissed off and starting to get real over PC gaming. I am such a #PCMASTERRACE person, but holy. friking. crap. I would use more colorful french, but I am refraining.

So AMD had a nice little issue with their drivers in windows 10, I couldn't for the life of me get the new crimson dealio on my Rig, tried literally everything, started gettin BSOD's all over the place so figured, its nuke time. Nuke it, get all my stuff installed, go to set up AI suite so I can have a nice quiet PC (look at my sig, I spent a shizload of money making this PC silent, used to be literally dead quiet with every fan under 600 RPM, and under 800 for gaming and ran cool), well not I can very easily hear it with things turned down literally as low as the BIOS will allow. I. Am. So. Pissed. At. Everyone. Right. Now. And last time I looked there still isn't a decent fan controller out there, which friking blows my mind.

I can try and find a T-Probe or whatever it is linus and them use, but I know its not very easy to use, and not cheap. The nzxt thingy is only single voltage control, well I have a pump and multiple different fans that need different votls for different RPM, so that sorta kinda isn't right. I have a really dumb slider controllable controller from NZXT that will totally ruin the aesthetic of my PC, and not tell me what RPM I am at, so who knows what RPM my pump will be at. I have no idea what I am suppose to do, and buy a new mobo and Z190 isn't the answer. I can't believe they don't have AIsuite working yet. What in the hell am I suppose to do!?!?!

Not sure how you have your fans setup or what fan your using but AI suite is pretty good for the most part in terms of fan control, what's the issue your having with it exactly?

I have tried it in the past..... WAY WAY past, like circa 2008, and it never worked right. not sure if its a mobo issue or what. Granted, this mobo is how many itterations of PC newer than that was. But still, are you sure it will work? Because at this point, I am pretty pissed, and don't need to waste more time if I can just go play halo on my stupidly under powered craptastic xbone.

Oh check to see before you extract the zip folder go into properties and hit unblock. After you can unzip and install it, that's a very common thing I see with AI suite, not too sure exactly why that is the case with that file also.

It works but it's not easy to set up.

Regardless, it's the only fan speed software that exists that lets you have any fan be controlled by any temperature you choose from your PC.

Want your CPU fan to be controlled by your SSD temperature? You can do that if for whatever reason you so wish.

Nothing else comes close in flexibility.

Hit unblock where? I am just extracting it, then when I go to setup.exe it tries something, and craps out. Never see a block or unblock message.

Right click with the mouse the zip folder and go into properties you will see an unblock option near the bottom after you hit that and extract the folder it should install afterwards.

Any idea if speedfan will work with my asus temp probe I have? I have it stuck in my radiator to get a pretty good sense of the actual heat in the loop. I could care less about CPU temp, as it spikes and does crazy stuff all the time, I only would want things to ramp up if the water starts getting warm...

Dunno.

It's a free program and would probably take a second to download, you could see if it shows up in the list of temps.

I don't see why it wouldn't.

That's weird. Have you tried right clicking and then selecting run as administrator.

Other option is installing in safe mode.

I assume you downloaded the install file here. https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/GRYPHON_Z97/HelpDesk_Download/

In any case, I definitely recommend trying to get AI Suite to work. Mine is currently controlling all my radiator and exhaust fans, plus the D5 PWM pump. It's also stupid easy to set up profiles if I wanted to.

Yea, it won't work no matter what I try. I vaguely remember it indicting with something last time I formatted, maybe Logitech software? Honestly I can't remember anymore, so maybe that is partially "my fault" but still that's some BS. Definitely agrivsting.
