receiving money from overseas with google wallet

0ld_Chicken

Can you receive money from people internationally using google wallet?  All I can find is that the recipient has to be in the US, but I can't find anything either way about the sender.

Much appreciated!!

(I tried googling it BTW, didn't get any answers)

I saw and read that

unless I'm missing something, this only says that they are launching google wallet in the UK.  It doesn't say anything about receiving payments from people in other countries

I think you can, but don't count me on it.  Plus, remember there's a currency exchange so be mindful.

Here.  If you go under Transfer Limits > Send or Recieve money it says:

"There's a limit of $9,999 USD per single transaction.

  • There’s a total limit of $50,000 USD per 5-day period.
  • If you live in Florida, there's a limit of $3,000 USD every 24 hours.

If you’re receiving money for the first time, you can transfer it directly to your bank account without verifying your identity if:

  • The amount is less than $300.
  • You've sent less than $1,000 in the last 30 days.
  • You’ve sent less than $10,000 total.

When you’ve reached a limit above, you’ll have to verify your identity to transfer money to your bank account."

It would not list it as USD if you could only use it in the US, meaning you can receive money from overseas!  :)
