Could you technically control the brightness of a bitfenix alchemy strip with a simple fan controller?

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

Maybe - people have added resistors to them to lower them. I would assume hooking up to a fan controller would work - once caveate - many controllers are pulse modulating or such. Where there isn't a steady voltage but always changing slightly. Messes up a lot of fans, so not sure how the strip would react.

I would dare say you would get a breathing effect if it pulsates. LED's do cope well individually with a pulsate not sure how a strip would work. Trial and error in my opinion. i will be getting some strips soon and will hook one up to my RECON fan controller to find out.
