I have the Gigabyte Gaming G1 GTX970

Here: http://www.jw.com.au/gigabyte-gtx-970-4gb-gaming-graphics-card-gv-n970g1-gaming-4gd-p-55139

And it was my first time overclocking a GPU so i dont know? i just followed a tutorial and it was the absolute best i could get with MSI Afterburner.

I also OC'd the ram 100Mhz

What do you think? Go for 970 or 980 or wait for pascal?

I was considering for a bit to go with 2 way 960 sli but stopped that thought due to possible incompatibility for my game and editing programs. For th 970, which due you recommend? Reference or non-reference?

DONT GET REFERENCE! They have bad overclock! Get the MSI or Gigabyte version!

Not worth going from 960 to 970.

I'm going from 760 to 1070(X70) at least to have a noticeable improvement.

If Pascal wasn't few months away from release then going for 900 series would be totally reasonable and my suggestion number 1.

That said, my 769 can still play 1080p at 60fps. Not on ultra nor high settings but combo of medium/high.

I doubt your CPU is bottlenecking u at anything and therefore I don't recommend upgrading it as impact would be minimal. I would say hold that thought until next year when Intel releases new gen cpu. i7-3770k still has all the horses you need for gaming.

Connection200mbps / 12mbps 5Ghz wifi

My baby: CPU - i7-4790, MB - Z97-A, RAM - Corsair Veng. LP 16gb, GPU - MSI GTX 1060, PSU - CXM 600, Storage - Evo 840 120gb, MX100 256gb, WD Blue 1TB, Cooler - Hyper Evo 212, Case - Corsair Carbide 200R, Monitor - Benq  XL2430T 144Hz, Mouse - FinalMouse, Keyboard -K70 RGB, OS - Win 10, Audio - DT990 Pro, Phone - iPhone SE

Which upgrade should I do first? Cpu motherboard and possibly ram? Or the GPU? Some of the games this year say that it needs a minimum of a 4th Gen cpu and a gtx 760 or something like that. All I want to do is be able to play the game at 1080p and a minimum of 40-50 fps hopefully 60fps. I currently have a i7 3770k and a gtx 960 strix. I do want to upgrade but I don't know if I should do the gpu first and go 970, 980 or wait for pascal. Or go for a newer cpu. I am hesitant on skylark because of the price of i7 skylark and the ram. What do you guys think? Besides gaming, I am also gonna do premiere pro after effects and photoshop. And general stuff too.

ffs..sitting here with a fx-8350 and a 760 like, "this is decent, I'm content with this, maybe new GPU whenever Pascal comes out but still."

as as of right now, you'd be fine with everything CPU wise, and for a long time. it's a K series so you can overclock it whenever it becomes a bit outdated, so I would wait for Pascal and get the mid range/high end card, if it's a improvement from the 980 and 980ti.

please never get a reference. Not that good of temps, terrible over clocks, not very pretty either.

evga and MSI are some some good brands to look at.
