Need help with new build.

Hello everyone,

I need a new PC for gaming on 1080p and maybe some autocad and video editing aswell. So I have made 2 Builds. I live in Belgium and I order my parts from amazon.de.

The pricepoint for the PC is arround 1000 euro's without windows. I also want it to be futerproof because I will use it in University so it needs to be decent for 5 years without any significant upgrades.

The first rig has the following specs:

-Fractal design Define R5 -117,58 EUR

-MSI Z170 Gaming PRO carbon SLI -157,69 EUR

-Corsair CX650M -82,96 EUR

-Crucial BX200 240GB -66,90 EUR

-Corsair Vengeance LPX 2X8GB DDR4 2400 Mhz -74,22 EUR

-Intel I5 6600K -239,90 EUR

-MSI GTX 960 Twin Frozr 4GB -221,26 EUR

-BeQuiet Shadow Rock 2 -41,29 EUR

-Windows 10 Profesional License -Already owned

-320GB Western Digital Blue HDD -Already owned

TOTAL=1001,51EUR

The second rig:

-Fractal design Define R5 -117,58 EUR

-Asus B150 PRO D3- 90,49 EUR

-Corsair CX650M -82,96 EUR

-Crucial BX200 240GB -66,90 EUR

-Corsair Vengeance LPX 2X8GB DDR4 2400 Mhz -74,22 EUR

-Intel I5 6600 -220,90 EUR

-MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr 4GB -341,26 EUR

-Stock intel cooler -Included

-Windows 10 Profesional License -Already owned

-320GB Western Digital Blue HDD -Already owned

TOTAL=994,31

The first rig looks moor futerproof and I can add a second 960 later and I also can overclock on the first one. But the second one has a beter GPU So it makes the choice difficult for me. :S

Please help me or give me suggestions.

Second build, definitely. You could possibly even SLI another 970 given enough budget (IDK if the PSU is up for that.)

but get a 390 if you can fit it in your budget, because of legit DX12 support.

if the 380/390 are the same price get those, they're going to have better DX12 support and both are faster than their nvidia counterparts, the 390 winning more in 1440p however.

Also the CX PSUs are low end, look for something from Seasonic, XFX(non XT), super flower, or some of the higher end corsair stuff

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I thought these were two preset builds with no chance to change components. If you can change the components, then I second this.
