Well, quick update on the homefront of Google and Account Security here... So I changed my Google Account password once a week, after doing this today, I decided to Factory Reset my Samsung Galaxy S7 to prepare it for my corporate Knox Workspace. But when the device comes back on I am greeted with Google Account saying "This device has been reset, please login with the owner's Google Account to continue" so fair enough, I went ahead and inserted my new password and boom! Nothing happened and I was brought back to the same screen after a lovely toast notification saying "Please use the owner's google account to login"

Upon doing some digging I found that this is a security feature, and now that I've changed my password, I need to wait 72 Hours before adding a mobile device to my Google Account, amazing so my Samsung Galaxy S7 is going to be out of action until Tuesday now, fantastic.

Jordan here, signing out after a little update, peace :)

Not just Google. Apple has that as well, after a major update or reset it's essentially a brick until you log in with the Apple ID it's tied to.

while indeed its a very annoying thing to have happen, its something very few people will ever encounter, and for as much of a headache as it is for you, its at least equal of a headache for the person that stole it out your pocket with chopsticks.

You mentioned Knox and I wasn't quite sure what it was, so I did the reasonable thing and downloaded/installed it then set it up.

It's kind of interesting tbh.

Oh it's undoubtedly an excellent feature if your phone is stolen, which is why I'm not moaning too much.. I use Knox Premium and Workspace, both of which add additional layers of security to the device for my work etc... I guess I've only got until Wednesday to wait anyhow.. It's good though.
