The 390 has 5-10% more increace (depends what games) in preformance but a higher TDP and hotter

The 970 has geforce experience, which i think is not really a selling point but lower TDP and cooler

its up to you, features/cooler vs preformance

with this, can we conclude that the gtx 970 will have a longer lifespan than the 390 coz it runs cooler? is 5-10% increase even noticeable in gaming?

No

Also yes it is noticable in games

From my own opinion the preformance increase is worth it over the "features"

i would grab a r9 390 and put a kraken aio onto it. its pretty easy and will give you amazing temps.

i cant recommend the gtx 970 anymore even though i own 2

no bro, i was just asking if it would have a longer lifespan. i'm using a radeon HD5570 right now :D and even planning on building a my first "pc from scratch" with an r9 390 included in it. Just looking into giving nvidia a try :)

Looks good, but have a look at the samsung sm951 or 950 pros they will blow your mind (if you can afford it)

good choice although i never recomend corsair psu's i have had some bad experiences with them.

also that cpu and motherboard as far as i know arent overclockable (never know with skylake) not really a big reason to get an aftermarket heatsink

i'm not planning to get into overclocking yet. That's why I'm getting a non-k processor.

bad experiences like what? The rmx series is on the tier 1 psus. I'm also thinking of getting the seasonic x750 but the corsair rmx series looks better HAHA

get the seasonic one. i have had corsair ones overheat on hybrid mode and get pretty loud. also they use pretty crappy caps in the cables to smooth out ripple.

how much more does it cost? can you give the an estimation in %? :D I'm strictly following my budget hehe

unbelievably the 950 pro is $177 at new egg right now so depends how much that 850 evo is

The sm951 is strangely more expensive than 950 pro in the us anyway

in the UK the SM951 is £108 and the 950 pro is £137
