Is it Worth it to Upgrade Router?

Fyfey96

Hey,

I have an 02 Wireless Box for my broadband. I only have 2.2Mbps download speed max. (Cant get any better even though I live in a major city) I was wondering if it would be worth the money to upgrade my router as Internal speeds are rubbish. Streaming from my PC to my TV is choppy and slow. File Transfer over Ethernet through router is slow also. I have shared folders from my PC of family photos videos ect and have set up access for these on my laptop and dad's desktop, and it all is very slow. The router just seems cheap and not very good. I dont expect to see a better download speed or anything but thought it may be better in the house doing things locally.  Or is there anything else i may be doing wrong?

Cheers
