Help installing pfSense

TubsAlwaysWins

Ive got a IBM 8670-GX1 I want to put pfSense on for school (like a project im doing) and pfSense is throwing a temper-tantrum over the server. i keep getting hardware errors and it keeps retrying to do it (fix the error) with no luck. So what evrsion of pfSense should I be using? (Im installing via USB) Im assuming 32 bit since i only have 3 GBs of RAM and (what I believe to be) a 36-bit CPU thingamaboober. (needs 32 -bit os but can handle more than 4 Gb's of RAM). Please help

3gb can run x64. but 32 if the cpu is 32.

But, have you tried running from the USB?

Perhaps try a new iso, corruption happens

What are some of the hardware issues? it may be the wireless chip

It is referring to the CPU whether thats(the cpu) is  x64 or x32. What processor do you have in there look that up find out whether 32 or 64 bit, this is not like installing windows where you need 4gb or ram to install 64 bit .

CPUIntel i5-6600k - Mobo - MSI Z170A M3 Gaming - RAM - 16GB G.SKILL DDR4 2133 -  GPU - MSI R9 380 4GB

CASE - Corsair Cube 540  CPU COOLER - Hyper 212 EVO - PSU - EVGA 1050w

It is a 36 bit processor. (Can only run 32 bit OS but can handle more than 4Gbs of RAM. )

Lol it literally doesn't have one. It'd just 'Intel Xeon'
