My computer died a week ago and a boot file was deleted. Does anybody know how this can be fixed? I tried booting but nothing happened. Andy suggestions? Specs are on my profile page. Doesn't even go into the error message anymore. I posted about this before but only got a response saying "rest in pepperonies". Help.

I tried that. It also asked for a key. Pardon me, but WTF. Why does someone need a key to repair a computer?

You can usually just skip that part, usually says so in the small print on that screen.

At the bottom there should be a button that says, "Skip" Just hit that and it'll work.

No I ment WINDOWS stores the key inside the BIOS CHIP now. It should automatically detect the key inside the bios chip.

I don't mean litereally聽inside the BIOS.

It ran into an error. I rebooted and tried again. Doesn't work.

If it couldn't successfully repair then you'll have to do a fresh format and install which is super simple with Windows 10. If it couldn't even successfully get through a fresh install then your hard drive is most likely either broken or well on it's way to it.

That didn't happen...... It didn't detect anything. We've hit a wall my friends. I am now going to give up for now and check on it in approximately 7 hours. It is 30 minutes after midnight and I am going to sleep.
