holyshit virus nuked my pc (hardware problem ?)

givingtnt

so I tried to play a video file (I don't remember the extention, but its uncommon) and windows media player requested a codec update to play it. wich I did.
2 minutes later. whoops. its a fucking virus. (didn't see that one coming. the anti virus either aparently) aannddd. well its a set of 4, reinstaling themselves as they are removed, and instaling other ones.

they cannot be deleted. and as I have everything on a NAS, I decided to format the discs and put windows 10 back to its original stock format.
I woke up this morning and the reset didn't work. and now I can'T get past the UEFI. even when it said I could just boot in windows 10.

sooo. should I just get a cd and burn windows 10 to it ? (is it the motherboard ? or perhaps my ssd ?)

the windows 10 reset takes forever anyway, like seriously it takes 3hours even on a nvme drive. while a fresh install from usb takes no longer than 10minutes. just make a boot stick with rufus and be done with it

ok

the thing happened over night, thts why I didit that way. but the bios is looping. thats the big problem here.

if it would not be, it would either run windows, say there is a problem, or ask me to find a boot device

don´t know, but you could just creat a bottabel usb device through windows media creator on an other pc, then decide in the bios to boot from the usb stick, then when windows ask where to install, click every partition that is on the ssd and format it, then normally install windows, if this doesn´t work it´s not a virus, also have only the ssd and the usb plugged in at first, but it´s definitly not a bios virus cause sth like this doesn´t exist
