Once You Go Mechanical, You Never Go Back.

Tucky

Holy crap, I just received my first mechanical keyboard. It's the Corsair K70 2016 Standard version with Cherry MX Red switches because I had no idea what switches to go with and I thought I would just go with reds like everyone else does. It is the greatest typing experience I have ever had and they keys are just so satisfying and overall amazing. I definitely will never go back to crappy membrane keyboards. I usually prefer a good membrane keyboard to red switches.

Blacks and Browns are a lot better, depending on purpose.

Clears are sensational, and mechanical in general is definitely the superior option.

pfft, red it too mainstream

blue are the real mechanical keys for typing

and annoying the person next to you :D

clak clak clak away~

i got my cherry blue keyboard as a gift, and have been lovin it since :P

though blue switch do pose some issues when you're trying to double tap quickly due to the tactile bump, made me die a few times in games xD

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I loved mech too. Cherry MX Blues are fucking god like to me. The typing experience is fucking amazing and the sound is music to my ears. Computer wise its music to my ears.

Yeah, Reds are really light to press and I feel like I should have consulted the forum before making my final decision but I feel that since these are the first mechanical keys I have used that these are fine for me but if I had used browns or something else I would not be too happy with the reds.

5 IBM Model M keyboards sitting in my storage room, first one I bought in ~1988 for $350 or so. The rest I picked up from some junk dealer on Bloor St. for $5 a piece in the late 90s.   People actually want to use those things these days?  I'm always scared that a kid will walk up to the keyboard, start eating keys, and choke.

Wait? Am i the only one typing on a chromebook keyboard here?

Chiclet keyboards are pretty nice to type on thanks to the ability to travel between the keys, but it's not nearly as satisfying as typing on a mechanical keyboard, even Cherry MX Reds, and knowing every key hit for sure.

Mmm I wouldn't swap my Logitech G710+ for anything else. Unless it was a G710+ Spectrum RGB. I can see that in the pipeline after the G502 Proteus Spectrum update
