Hello,

Back in January of 2016 I've built my first PC. I wouldn't say that it's overkill, but it is quite powerful.
I often get asked the same question by friends and even strangers in games such as CS:GO, which is: Why are you not overclocking your CPU?
And the truth is, I've spent so much money on this rig and Im just afraid that I will do something wrong. So recently I've been looking into overclocking my CPU, but I would need some help from poeple with experience so to speak.

My PC specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K
Motherboard: MSI Z97 GAMING 5 - ATX / Z97
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX Watercooler
RAM Cards: HyperX FURY Black Series 16GB 1866MHz DDR3
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2 (650W)
GPU: MSI GeForce 970 Gaming 4GB
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB
Harddrive: WD Blue Intern Harddrive 1TB
Case: Fractal Design Define S - Windowed

Any answers appreciated! :)

if you want to be reallly careful you can just use the one-click overclock button in your bios. its in the up left corner

How come the MSI components are a shame?

I suspect he had a bad experience and felt it was representitive of all msi things as a whole.. the MSI stuff isn't the greatest I'll be honest but it's not going to explode.

Try 4.6GHz 1.3V manual override voltage. on msi boards you need to use + and - to do things usually :P

Intel XTU is also viable for testing an OC
