New CPU or GPU, help needed

i would go for a the cpu then get a gpu next time you have money what motherboard do you have?

Not sure if i have posted this in the right area. But i'm looking to start to record my game plays but atm i have a i3 2130 i would like to upgrade this to a i5 3570 or 3570K or should i just upgrade my GPU instead my GPU is a GTX 650 i know its not high end either not sure if i upgrade the GPU like to a GTX 760 with the i3 wouldn't it get bottleneck so i need some help.

The motherboard i have is a MSI Z77A-GD65 but that is not in the system atm i will be changing the board over soon that is why i was thinking about the CPU over the GPU but i wasn't really sure tho

The motherboard i have is a MSI Z77A-GD65 but that is not in the system atm i will be changing the board over soon that is why i was thinking about the CPU over the GPU but i wasn't really sure tho

if you can get the unlocked version of your cpu i would get it but if your not planning on overclocking save your self a bit of money and get the locked one, before you get a gpu i would wait and see if the new series of amd cards are any good.

yeah there is only $24.00 AUD difference i was also wondering should i get more ram too i have 8GB atm Intel Core i5 3570 $245.00 & Intel Core i5 3570K $269.00

you should be alright with most cooler with that case what gpu are you thinking of getting after the cpu?

I was leaning towards a GTX 760 or GTX 770 but we get ripped off here there like $80.00 to $100 more for the same GPU as you can get from the US

same in the uk psu in the us was $100 with $50 more off on newegg so looked for it in the uk boom £110 wait to see how the new amd goes and if it's a flop go nvidia. i would go 770 if you have the money but the 760 is good to

Yeah the only reason why i'm leaning towards nvidia is cause of Shadow Play, i think i will be getting another hard drive now i already know which one i will be getting

gaming would need to know res. of monitor and ingame fidelity needed but mobo-cpu then gpu should be good path i would think...but what do i know i was content with my 9600 til last week when it died ...

 

 

now regulated to samsung 3 series lappy

a6 3410mx oc to 1.95ghz-which in theory id guess gives me oc gpu as well...not sure if it works that way on a apu or not yet..

 

new sys incoming...sometime i hope...

Keep the board, get the 3570K and upgrade your GPU later on when you have money.

I'm also upgrading my ram from 1333 to 2133 or 2400 i'm using a Noctua NH-U12S not sure if the ram will fit i know 1 will but also would like to know which is the better ram here is the 2 ram choices i'm looking at

You won't get any added performance with upgrading your RAM unless you use a AMD APU, just go with some  good 1600mhz RAM and save some money.
