I have 8 + a 1tb external hdd

1- hirens and UBCD

2- ubuntu/Mint/zorin

3- Kali

4- Win10

5- Used to pass data

6- running freenas

7- music and movies for my TVs and Pi

8- spare

If they're serving a purpose, then no amount.

I have a couple dozen from various conventions, most aren't in use, but hey. Nothing is too many.

n number of drives. 

 

n of hardware switchable read only drives for diagnostics,

n of throw away cheapo USB drives to give people data but there is a risk of long delay in return

n of fast high quality USB drives for personal/work use

n of old USB drives because some unique ancient stuff won't work with newer drives

...

I don't even know how many I actually have as they are all spread out over the place and not even in the same office/home/country/....
