So I am going to be installing a new CPU soon. However I can't remember a few things, do you use alcohol wipes to remove the existing thermal paste off of the CPU Cooler (It's an ASUS Silent Square if that makes any different) and when applying thermal paste to the CPU do you apply as much as a cooked or uncooked grain of rice?

Thanks

- yes you use isopropyl alcohol to remove the thermal paste

- uncooked is what I heard most often, but it doesn't make a huge difference it seems.
