Bios battery dead??

Do Windows tablets have a bios battery like the one's in laptops and desktops?

 

I have had to set my tablets clock again and again because it keeps being slow. But about 5 minutes ago I set it exactly 4 minutes ahead of my iPhone and magically, suddenly my iPhone is now ahead again by 2 - 3 minutes?? It's been like this since this morning. Could this be a sign of the bios battery, if it has one is dead?

check your PC time against a clock on the internet

if your PC is slowing down then yeah you need to replace your cmos battery

It keeps going over 10 minutes behind if I just wait. But do tablets use bios batteries?

oh youre talking about your tablet not your PC?

probably something wrong with it, i dont think you can fix that yourself other than trying an OS clean install

It is a connect 10

 I had some updates yesterday and this morning before it broke it had a bsod while watching netflix it was an Intel driver named dgmm but I can't remember the last few letters.

the CMOS battery doesn't have anything to do while the tablet is actively powered on as the RTC is powered not by that battery

if you experience RTC issues after powering down, then yes, it's the battery 

 

 

in your case, since it's a "chinese" tablet, it's most likely that it doesn't have a dedicated CMOS battery, but uses the main battery for CMOS and RTC clock
