Well, since I will be building a new "WarMachine" sometime in the next year/two, I've decided to play around with the idea of re-using the older components left behind to build a new Portable LAN rig and HTPC/TV Gaming system.

 

Only some of the components in this list will be new purchase (those with links), the rest are already owned.

They are a bit scarce new in Oz... so willing to go with H87... not looking to OC the 4770k in the mini-ITX case anyway.

Do you really need the 1TB SSD when you already have a 512 gig? That's a LOT of extra money. Unless you really need another TB of SSD storage, take it out. Then you can get a better PSU and motherboard and a 1 TB hard drive instead and still save some money as well.

The 500W PSU should be good enough with the components listed. The 1TB is just thrown in for the heck of it... the price of the build is not an issue...

Currently 500W is enough, but not by much, so if you do some serious upgrades then that could become an issue in the future. And if price isn't an issue then 1.5 TB of SS storage will be amazing, so go for it.

Agreed, but I don't think any K series CPU's will be used for this build's upgrades in the future. The current 4770K will basically just be an excuse to do the initial build "because I hate stuff lying around"

 

If the need one-day does come up for something stronger, I'll just upgrade to a 600W or 700W version
