New build 1440p and 4k gaming

TRambo

Hey, I live in the USA. Making this build for a friend. His budget is $1700. He wants a good looking pc that can run games 1440p and at 4k. He also wants some room to upgrade to another 980ti in the future. What do you think about this build? https://pcpartpicker.com/user/TRambo/saved/PP6WGX

PSU is overkill unless he's planing to get a second 980 ti in SLI. Also look at an S340 or an H440?

So he already has a 4k display? because if not you should buy the 4k display now rather than later because new GPUs are coming in a few months, so you should probably wait at this point to buy a top end GPU, when the new ones come out they should be capable of 60fps at 4k rather than the 40fps at 4k a 980ti can do.

this one's 27" IPS free-sync 4K

G-sync display with the same specs is $899 atm, prices are screwed up, so I'd highly suggest sticking to free-sync
