What are his current system specs? Is the HDD still plugged in? If so, make sure the SSD is the boot device.

Err... you got this CPU?

In that case, I'm not surprised. It's a single core AMD processor, that's the performance I'd expect from it.

Wait, you replaced the old CPU with the same CPU? In that case, it should preform the same, but you really should get a dual or quad core CPU.

RedWulf suggested some good ones above.

Oh my I know I spent 1.7k on my PC but I'm asking with this is there any drivers that need installing or something cause for some reason my friend uses the onscreen keyboard and as soon as I open that it seems to lag and before it didn't, the cooking is alright I put enough thermal paste on it and the fan is stock

When you installed the SSD did you just clone the old OS onto it? If so I'd suggest doing a fresh install.

What OS is he using anyway?

Nah I think what has happened is that the bios was set to 32 bit and the Windows was 64 :/

Weird, I know that CPU is 64bit. I guess I wasn't aware that you had to set which version you used in the BIOS.

I also didn't think it would even boot if that was the case lol.
