need domain users and local users?

hey guys, so i'm currently doing some practice work involving a windows server 2012 and two clients (win 7,8.1) and i was just wondering, would i need to keep any local users if i have domain users?

You want a local admin account on each system for troubleshooting (say it can't connect to the network for some reason), and you want your domain accounts (so make it join the domain).

 

To login to the admin account locally, as user name you put .\ before the account name, and enter your password. Sy the admin account name is admin, and password is: abc123

On this login screen:

 

You'll type:

User name: .\admin

Password: abc123

If you don't do ".\" before, Windows will think that the account is on the domain server and try to login to that.
