I'm so sick of it, half the time it doesn't load pages, especially pages that Google serves. Gmail doesn't load, Google Images freezes after like six images load and even refreshing won't do shit, I can't watch YouTube now (which is probably the main thing I do) because every other video won't fucking buffer or buffers the first .5 seconds and then stops... And it's only on my PC, my dad's PC is fine, my phone is fine, other browsers on my PC are fine.

I need a new browser. I know you might tell me Firefox, but I have used it and for some reason after using it for a bit the browser becomes EXTREMELY laggy even though my system isn't some machine from 2008. I would use Edge but there isn't any ad-blocking (I've even used some system wide ad blocker that was fantastic, but it was a paid thing and fucked my system over when I uninstalled it afterwards).

I don't know what to use anymore. I need something simple, clean (pretty too), and fast. And has Ad Block, I don't care for other extensions.

Yeah, I left Chrome long ago and never looked back. I've been using Opera for over 10 years and it's been fine to me. http://www.opera.com/computer Give it a try and see what ya think. I still use this https://getadblock.com and it works great! I can't imagine surfing the web without it.

No complaints from me!

Best of luck!

I've just installed Opera, holy shit is this a nice browser. I'll try it and see further. Ad Block is definitely going to be installed.

sorry, trying to diagnose a problem ive never heard of

edge is getting support for add ons soon

mostly, the 4 main browsers are the 5 main, because theyre the only ones that actually work regularly

chrome is fastest, and works the best for some people

firefox is next.  best extension support but some weird stuf that happens

next comes opera, the one used by some odd people, but well loved by those who do

here comes safari, kind of odd and mostly used be people who dont know another

then there is internet explorer/edge.  for years and years it has been the worst, but it is definitely getting better

lol good job at blaming chrome for a problem that only happens on YOUR COMPUTER.....

maybe if you spent some time troubleshooting instead of ranting you would be able to fix the problem

Chrome is usually the fastest but the highest resource hog, and has the best extension support.

Firefox is fast but it has weird issues and is usually second in general.

Opera was used by old people as far as I know but I'm starting to like it now that it looks more modern.

Safari is for Apple fags who don't know better.

IE was shite, then it was good up until the release of Edge, which is way better but is still missing features.

Chrome has never let me down but I'll echo the praise given to Opera - it's pretty awesome in my opinion. Only drawback I can think of, and perhaps they've patched it since I last used it, but sometimes with their 'Turbo' feature turned on, it can sometimes backfire and load pages much more slowly than if it was turned off. Again, perhaps it's been patched but I know that was kinda a big issue. I turned it off and everything was golden though, so can't complain.

I said, if you read my post entirely, that it happens on my PC, and on that browser only. It's pissing me off because when YouTube doesn't work, that fucks everything over for me because that's mostly what I do is browse YouTube for hours on end. I've been trying to fix the problem for two months now, this shit is still not working and I've narrowed it down to Chrome. I might in fact reinstall it, that seems to help sometimes.

well the fact that a billion other people are using chrome just fine and youre having problems just shows that its not an issue with chrome but with your PC

have you reinstalled chrome? did you upgrade/downgrade operating systems? have you tried clean installing windows?

I've just uninstalled it, I can reinstall and see. I got my 850 EVO back in the beginning of January so I clean installed MSX back then. The issue popped up around two months ago, I've been dealing with it since and trying to find solutions. Switched to Google DNS servers, even did DNS Benchmarks and Google turned out the fastest so I have been using that but it didn't solve the problem. I have just been skipping videos that won't buffer but now it's to every single video, will buffer the first few seconds or nothing at all. And I've been using Opera for a little bit now, and it seems to be doing the same thing now (*cries inside*). I do like Opera though, much nicer than Chrome.

Feel free to think of anything else, I got nothing. Windows troubleshooter reports nothing wrong btw.

Yes it was even worse before I started using it. It improved it for a bit but then it slowly went back downhill again. Actually, Opera seemed to solve the problem, I've watched like 10 videos and none have straight up frozen like they did with Chrome. Opera Turbo is even better.

I don't think it could be my Internet speeds could it? I have 22Mbps down, maybe it's ISP throttling and AT&T has been fucking with me for the past two months?

no its not your internet speed

it just seems like some windows update that screwed up chrome and the only thing that would fix it is a clean install

the last things you could try is disabling or forcing hardware acceleration in the chrome://flags but i highly doubt that will change anything

just use operah, its pretty much the same thing

I tried that as well, didn't change a single thing. I'm going to keep using Opera, it seems to buffer sometimes, but not nearly as often and when it does it quickly finishes buffering and continues, which I can deal with. I suppose it could be a Windows Update, I might clean install some time but it takes a long time to do so, so it will have to wait.
