ive just bout x2 of these processors will these work in my mother board I not know if they are LGA2011 V1, LGA 2011V2 OR LGA 2011 V3 at the time of buying them I didn't no that their was 3 different versions of the same soccet

 

the Z10PE-D8 WS motherboard says its an LGA 2011 V3 SOCCET will this be compatible with older LGA 2011 CPU'S

Its not idiotic at all, -3 socket is the same dimensions and pin pitch, the difference is an upgrade to allow for DDR4 RAM support. It was a minor upgrade to an existing socket... Dont take out your lack of investigation before buying out on something thats perfectly reasonable.

basically if you had 1 cpu buy a X79 Sabertooth
