X-99 PC $3000 budget already have a 980Ti.

Remixt

Okay so, my pc is dead. The good news is that my renters insurance covered the loss and they are giving me $3000 to build a new one. I have a build in mind already, but I want some opinions and insight before hitting the button.

Things I already have:

980 Ti Matrix

all peripherals (mouse, headset, ect...)

2k Gsync Monitor

Here is the link to what I'm currently looking at building. My main concern is the motherboard. I want a Mobo that has at least 2 different Bios configurations in case of a freeze during install, but I really like the killer network feature on the msi board.

I was thinking about getting. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/sGFCsY

CPU: Ryzen 5950X Ram: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR4 3600 CL14 | Graphics: GIGABYTE GAMING OC RTX 3090 |  Mobo: GIGABYTE B550 AORUS MASTER | Storage: SEAGATE FIRECUDA 520 2TB PSU: Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 12 - 1500W | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU & LG C1

looks great, added more ram and some more storage, you will probably want to run the hdds in raid 1

What are you going to use it for?

Recommendations:

thermaltake water coolers are leaky go with a x61

Dominator platinum is overpriced

P2 1000w is WAAAAY overkill

$520 for a motherboard really?

With the money saved get another gpu for sli

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

I stream League of Legends, make music (fruity loops), write programs, build games in unity, look at porn, play pretty much everything on Steam and I also plan on streaming Overwatch when it launches.

It's great for Unity and other game engines. Cuts down render time and build times. Also I multitask like a motherfucker.

If you render then yes it does help for sure.

Take a look at my other recommendations and if you have vessel the latest video from LTT comparing GPU vs CPU rendering

Looks good to me! I would just suggest some changes though, maybe a cheaper mobo (it's all personal preference, if you want to keep it, it is fine!) I went for a different CPU Cooler, this one doesn't have the nice led fans, but has a very high quality pump included, and is ready for future loop expansion. I went for different HDD's, Backblaze, a storage center that uses consumer drives rates Hitachis as the most reliable. I changed the case for one I liked, but it is all personal preference, and went for a nice RGB LED Kit from NZXT. Also, there is still some left in the budget for some nice cables, whether it be from ICEMODZ, or Cablemods, etc.

I'm not sure that power supply would be enough for two of those graphics cards. They suck down alot of juice.
