S7 Edge Questions

Hey guys,

I have two questions regarding the S7 Edge today.

1. Will Linus be reviewing it?

 

2. Is it worth rooting? (Like will it break the phone etc etc)

1 - Linus only reviews what he thinks is "revolutionary" in the mobile industry, and since the S7 Edge brings absolutely nothing new or different from its predecessor in design language, its 95% likely not hed even bother to review it. But, he is the S7 like Sam said, ehehe....

 

2- TouchWiz is like a plague, haunting most users worldwide and its literally what makes Samsung fail, and i know that because ive used several flagships from Samsung raging from the Note 4 to the S6 and even used my mothers S6 Edge + to compare, all behave the same and that is a not very pleasant experience. Its a pretty/simple interface and has very useful features, but it also has duplicates, overhaul slugishness and lack of regular updates. Breaking the phone, as you mean Knox triggering and warranty neglectency? Yes, not many roots, are actually effective and bypass such security triggers and cyanogen mod isnt even supported by these devices, if you liked it anyways. You could always get Google Launcher and make the phone run faster and nearly as good as a Nexus. I wouldnt root my phone, unless i have an all damage type insurance, which means that even if you "screw up" and for some reason cant find a way to fix your bricked phone, you can always get it replaced for free and learn a lesson i guess.

He will not be reviewing the S7 Edge, but he will with the regular S7.

It's not on Vessel, but a WAN show has Linus mention that the S7 Edge is too large for him and he probably won't review it.  Regarding the regular S7, this is what he tweeted a few days ago:

Rooting the SD820 devices is currently impossible as per all traditional root methods. There are some possibilities but I would not buy the device expecting it to be rooted.

I already own the device. Just wanting to get more functionality out of it.

Well... don't expect a root method to be available.
