Hi i want to share with the PC community a little Project i have in mind, i call it Project: Powerhouse PC, the objective of this build is to build a PC so powerful even my pc(at the time of writing this)is weak compared to it(here is my pc: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/cBbKwP). This Project is also one of those "I Can Do It" Projects as i personally don't have any experience in PC building, and i have my doubts that i can do a good job of building one, so this project, if i don't goof up will also give me the satisfaction and Pride knowing that i took the time to, Pick the parts of the PC, save up the money for the PC, wait patiently for the parts to arrive, and built the PC, all this by myself, so you know it will give me that feeling of Accomplishment and Satisfaction.

The Parts of this Powerhouse PC, are as follows:

Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

(I chose this CPU, as the PC community keeps telling me how AMD is not the best CPU company anymore and that Intel should always be your #1 choice for the best gaming performance possible, and of course a case of "Newer=Better" as i was growing up has led me to pick the Intel i7-6700K 4.0ghz Quad Core CPU)

Noctua NH-L9i 57.5 CFM CPU Cooler

(One reason as to why i picked this, i don't trust Liquid Cooling, Liquid Cooling has one risk that i don't want to have happen, and that risk is, the liquid leaks onto your parts, therefore frying your PC)

Asus ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ALPHA ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

(I picked a motherboard that was compatible with the cpu of course, but i also wanted to make sure the motherboard had onboard USB 3.0 headers, the best ethernet thing a motherboard can get and DDR4 ram suppor, oh and i wanted a Red motherboard(i know its not red per se, but it has red on it))

G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) DDR4-3400 Memory

(in my book this is the best ram)

Samsung 850 Pro Series 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive x3

(The local Apple reseller who also deals with custom pcs told me that the Samsung 850 series is currently the best ssd's out, so i picked the 850 Pro SSD, and because i'm a storage hog i chose to have 3)

Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive x3

(I can't seem to let go of the old fashioned HDD's and yet again i'm a storage hog, so i chose 3 HDD's)

(A powerhouse PC, needs a powerhouse GPU, and i decided 2 way SLI for even more power)
(thanks to LinusTechTips for reviewing this case, his review of this case was what got me to pick this case)
(I need some way to power this powerhouse, and i think a 1500 watt power supply is perfect for this build)
(Windows 10 is cool and all, but i prefer Windows 7)
(I don't need it, i WANT IT)

If you have any advice, i would greatly appreciate it.

thanks for reading

Got some money to burn? Nice :)

Think you can go more extreme in the SSD department if you want ultimate performance. A single NVMe M.2 SSD in that mobo would have greater peak transfer rates than 3 SATA ones even in raid 0, and probably better iops too. There are also PCIe ones available in case you want multiples.

Gaming system: R7 7800X3D, Asus ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming Wifi, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB, Corsair Vengeance 2x 32GB 6000C30, MSI Ventus 3x OC RTX 5070 Ti, MSI MPG A850G, Fractal Design North, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, Alienware AW3225QF (32" 240 Hz OLED)
Productivity system: i9-7980XE, Asus X299 TUF mark 2, Noctua D15, 64GB ram (mixed), RTX 4070 FE, NZXT E850, GameMax Abyss, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, iiyama ProLite XU2793QSU-B6 (27" 1440p 100 Hz)
Gaming laptop: Lenovo Legion 5, 5800H, RTX 3070, Kingston DDR4 3200C22 2x16GB 2Rx8, Kingston Fury Renegade 1TB + Crucial P1 1TB SSD, 165 Hz IPS 1080p G-Sync Compatible
