Hello! I'm building my first PC soon.  I was looking for a water cooled 980ti and I compared the EVGA Hybrid vs Gigabyte waterforce vs MSI Sea Hawk.  I came with the conclusion that the EVGA one is a but better and I like the way it looks more that the MSI.  BUT, I just saw JaysTwoCents video on water cooling and he mentions he prefers 240mm for the GPU and 240mm for the CPU.  The EVGA Hybrid comes with a 120mm rad and I wanted to know if I could and should replace it with a 240mm rad and add two fans to it or is the 120mm rad +fan + fan on the card enough. Thanks!

P.S. Do you agree with my water cooled 980ti?

To get the best cooling, you really need a custom loop but that is usually a bit beyond a first time builder's scope.  If you do enough research it shouldn't matter though.

120 is more than enough for a GPU

no you cannot replace the radiator on an AIO

Thanks for your response, but, I know I'm probably not experienced enough for custom looped...

Just stick with the radiator that comes with the card and you will be fine.

A 120mm rad is already overkill and allows for some pretty high overclocks; you definitely don't need to replace an AIO cooler. I think the reason why GPUs may sometimes be given more rad space in a custom loop is that the blocks are generally not hybrid, so all of the heat instead of just some of it goes into the cooling loop.

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

jay is a bit of a watercooling enthusiast (incase you didnt notice his skunkworks)

single 120mm will do just fine, get whichever one you like best :D

no, not at all, AIO coolers are normally less reliable than air coolers, and cost more

but if you're looking for performance out of the box, then a graphics card with AIO would be your best bet

also, im a bit nervous when putting liquid in my system so i still prefer air (although nothing much below the gpu for it to leak on to destroy, as long as your psu's fan is faced down or covered by a shroud)

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
