Locked BCLK overclocking

First you should know why you can OC non K CPU. Now days CPU designs are too much complex, so chances of occurring bug is common for ex: a bug which freezes the 6th gen CPU when you use prime 95 software to check stability of your CPU. To encounter that kind of problem Intel release microcode update, microcode has small instruction which can handle special situation like that. This micro code is installed automatically through bios update or windows update, you can stop it if the update has q signature of Intel. Similarly messing up with base clock is another bug found in Intel 6th gen CPU ( BUGS ARE NOT ALWAYS BAD FOR YOU ) . And to fix that bug Intel has already release a microcode update through bios, & they may also release this update soon in windows also.

Looking at your ram size ( 16 Gb) i am assuming that you are also going to edit video in that build than instead of i5 6500 i will go with Xeon E3-1231 V3 1231(socket : lga 1150 ) because it has 2mb more cache memory over i5 and HT feature over i5

i5 6500                            :   3.2 - 3.6 Ghz,   6mb cache,   4 core   4 thread,  socket LGA 1151

Xeon E3-1231 V3 1231  :   3.4 - 3.8 GHz,   8mb cache,   4core    8 thread,  socket LGA 1150

Xeon PC build : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8rTr23

I'm aware of them trying to remove this. ASRock removed it, but then put it back in a new BIOS update. As long as you use an older BIOS it should work fine.
