How to Disable 1st PCIe Slot?

How do I disable my 1st PCIe slot? I broke it and the GPU sag looks ugly.

 

It is quite the fiddle to move the GPU, so I want to know for sure. If I change it from BIOS will it work not only for boot but for regular operation? Heard some boards prefer your card to be in the first slot if it is a single one.

Just throw it in another slot, you'll be fine.

According to your manual, you have two x16 slots, but it appears that the second one operates in x4 mode when the first x16 slot is occupied.  

 

Your manual also states to occupy the first x16 slot if you are only using one video card.  If you move the card to the second slot, you may have to go into BIOS and force x16 operation to the lower slot.
