i would love to know what RAM dims you are using to get 10GBs of RAM but the problem isnt with the cooler here, its with the PC, try lowering settings a bit and you will be just fine probably

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

that RAM is not something i would recomend running, you have 2 difirent speeds, probably difirent clocks and a load of other stuff, if you are not running all your RAM at 1333Mhz i cant see how your PC is stabile.... well try removing the old 2GB dim and checking if it works, oherwise im not sure. In the setting lower/disable things like MSAA/FXAA/other anialiasing, because that can eat up VRAM, and try lowering shaders and texture quality too :)

Just asking again... can a ram overheat?

not really, its nothing thats really a problem, it of cource can if you overclock it with something like an XMP profile but almost all RAM sticks that can do that have heat sinks so they wont overheat :)

Overheating ram, now a days, highly doubt it, also I believe Hyper X have heatsinks on them I would remove the 2gb ram stick and and reset your ram settings. try playing your game again, if its still dropping frames, I would adjust the graphics settings. personally I use Nvidia auto optimisation tool, never had an issue with it. the GT 950 isnt a super high end card, so dropping down the Anti-Aliasing will help a lot.
