Well, seasonic is a super good brand and the OEM for there PSUs is a high end manufacturer. So i would go with the seasonic imo.

The EVGA unit is probably one of the best in terms of performance by supplying good quality power with very low ripple and noise, closely followed by the Seasonic and RM550x series.

evga supernova 550 g2 vs seasonic m12ii 520 vs corsair rm550 vs corsair rm550x ? which is better? (with some arguments please)

EVGA Supernova G2 = tier 1

Seasonic M12 II  = tier 2

Corsair RM/RMx = Tier 1

EVGA Supernova G2 = 9.9/10 points out of jonny guru

Corsair RM/RMx = i dont know but probably not above 9.9...

conclusion: EVGA Supernova G2

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Actually, it got 10/10 from JG. Making it my recommendation out of all the choices above.

Out of those units, the Corsair RM550x or EVGA Supernova 550w G2.

Due to the rifle bearing fan (less susceptible to bearing noises), relax fan profile (fan doesn't spin up as hard as the G2), and wire fan grille (less turbulent noises), the Corsair RM550x would be a quieter unit.

To some extent, I could say that the RMx has more of a future thanks to the fact that Corsair standardized their pinout through the entire lineup (although, the RMx uses the new type 4 pinout. You could used the Type 3 cables with the RMx though). If I ever need to RMA my power supply, chances are the cable will compatible with the replacement even if the OEM / platform had change, while EVGA is a different pinout per OEM: GS - Seasonic; G2 - Super Flower; G1 / GQ - FSP; B1 / BQ - HEC. All different pinout. This point is helpful, if you had bought / made some sleeved cables.

Here's the review that Aris of Tomshardware (same guy who does the PSU reviews at Techpowerup). http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/corsair-rm550x-power-supply,4484-10.html

The EVGA Supernova 550 G2 is an excellent, high-end power supply though, and TBH, you really can't go wrong with going with either units. The G2 may look more appeal as it is probably price lower as well
