Name of this cable?

Hi LTT,

I recently purchased the Siberia V3 headset and for the mic to work you need to use a very long cable like this:

 

 

This cable is way to long and I want to purchase a very short version that would look like this:

 

    Jack for headset itself

    l

 /   \

A   M

U    I

D   C

I

O

 

Literally in that length. Can anybody tell me what the cable is called and maybe even link me with a link for a very short version?

Looks like a Y splitter for a TRRS jack.  Post a picture of the jack that plugs into the female end of that cable.

 

This might be what you are looking for if the jack that plugs into the female end of the cable is a TRRS jack.

FYI, it is not a splitter, it is a headset adapter.

 

A splitter makes two outputs out of one connection - a headset adapter converts from single TRRS to dual TRS.
