affordable mechanical keyboard?

I want to buy a mechanical keyboard, but I'm not sure if I want to spend the money for cherry MX switches.  I've seen that there are some keyboards with non-cherry switches that are more affordable - is anyone using these / could you recommend a good one?

Check on ebay, Seller often put their representation models in there for almoust nothing. I got a k70 for almoust 50€/$ without RGB lightning.

You seem to be undecided about mechanical boards in general. Why spend the extra at all.

Look for older PC keyboards, like my Compaq MX 11800. It has cherry MX browns and all it cost me was shipping, basically

I will always recommend my CM Storm Quickfire Rapid with cherry blues until I die. Such a solid board, $80 retail. They even have backlit versions now!

Cooler master makes some good keyboards with cherry switches. They tend to be on the more affordable side of things.

Uses kaihl blues or browns. For a little more you can get true cherries. I have the above keyboard with blues and it has been solid and a great keyboard.
