Found a 970 on craigslist for $310

Its a EVGA 970 SSC Edition card and he claims its been used for  couple months but he upgraded to 980ti

CPU: A8-5600K GPU: MSI RX 480 GAMING X 4GB MOBO: ASUS A55BM-PLUS 

RAM: 2x 4GB Samsung DDR3-1600 1.25V PSU: Corsair CX430 CASE: Enermax Ostrog Windowed STORAGE: PNY CS1111 120GB / Hitachi 1TB 7200RPM OS: Windows 10 Pro & macOS Sierra 10.12.3

go check it out and ask him to put it on a test rig and see if it works like a 970 in benchmarks then if you want buy it since its $50 cheaper than new

or you can get a r9 390 for cheaper then a used 970

If you feel safe with a used card then go for it! but new cards will always last longer and be more reliable in the long run. You dont know what he has done to that card behind you back xD he could of jizzed on it for crying out loud

Yea, the used graphics card market here in the US, especially around the 970, is pretty garbage. Usually you're better off buying new. I got my EVGA 970 SC for $299 plus a $20 rebate.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.
