Swapping SSD between systems?

Ok, so I purchased a new PC on eBay, and I'm going to take it's old storage out and put the storage from my current computer in.

What's the easiest way to erase the data on the SSD's?

They're both boot drives with Windows on them.

I'm assuming I can't erase Windows from the drive it's stored on.

just delete the partition(s) during the Windows install and re-create them

If you have a samsung SSD you can use the Secure Erase feature that comes with the box.

I want to have a fresh install. So ideally, plugging in the SSD and having nothing on it to reinstall everything.

Well during the install process you can delete partitions anyway and then let the installer create a new partition.

deleting the partition wipes everything

well deleting the partition deletes* everything

 

*most of the things are is still on the drive, just not accessible and is invisible to windows, basically same as an empty drive
