Building a home server/mini nas for fun..

Hello, i am looking to put together a home server/mini nas for fun and such.

I want new and fresh parts, but i want a deadsilent/low power build.

The chassi i want to use is Fractal Design Node 605.

Need help with the rest, budget is around 400euros - 800euros.

hmm... try getting a used computer, since nas doesnt really need much processing power

a core 2 duo + a motherboard with multiple SATA connection is fine

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Try to get passive cooling, e.g. a cpu cooler without a fan. The cooler will be bigger, but it'll be very silent. Also you can buy SSD's in stead of HDD's. Hard drives produce an annoying spinning and clicking sound. BTW I highly recommend this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6r60JjAil0
