hey guys,
so I am trying to figure out how to perform a test to see if my GPU EVGA GTX680 2 gig is bottlenecking my CPU 4790k at 4.6 at 1.248v. I am running a triple monitor setup at 60 hertz at 3840x1024 with PhysX set to CPU at moment.
is there a software or benchmark to tell me or show me if i am bottlenecking my CPU.
I have Aida64, Realbench and Cinebench R15.

Simple answer: yes. That card is rather old, and the resolution is pretty high. The weakest link on the chain is surely your GPU.

I have a few OC profiles set but wondering how much more I OC it? my stable is power target 105% clock offset is _50 Mhz and Mem Clock is +200 mhz how do I know if i can go higher? and what is better to up the clock or mem clock? I have read that if I keep clock low, I can push the mem clock more.

how dO see which is being used more during a game? I have HWmonitor, under GPU there is a GPU power in %. does that tell me how much my GPU is being used?

MSI afterburner works. Try going higher and see if it works. I can't tell you about your specific card.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

In most cases,  the gpu is the bottleneck anyway because games are gpu bound.

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

Your GPU IS the bottleneck in your PC when it comes to gaming, but that is the case in every PC that doesn't have a CPU bottleneck. Your GPU can't however bottleneck your CPU, as your GPU won't slow down your CPU's performance

i5-6600k @ 4.9Ghz | Corsair H110i GTX + 2 x Noctua NF-A14's | ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger |
