I don't want answers from audiophiles that will tell me buy super headphone amps, new headphones for 1000 USD and same with sound card. Which do you think will be the best Gaming headset with very good surround sound, worth the money and with music like in Razer Carcharias? Should i try with Razer Megalodon? Or maybe Siberia V2 USB ? What do you think?

surround sound is more of a gimmick. I can barely tell a difference between surround and stereo sound on my Logitech G930s. A good 2.0 headset/headphones would be a better experience, but if you want to stick with those choices I would get the Siberia v2 or wait for the elite version.

I used Logitech G35 and i could tell instantly where the bullets come from and where is guy running. But sound lacked quality in surround mode.

The only big difference I noticed was it sounded quieter in surrounded xD Probably any of the other surround sound headsets would be good if you want it as long as you stay away from the ones that have the individual speakers and stick to the ones that use an algorithm for surround.

If you want just a good for the price, good sounding headset. Check out the Logitech headset. It's like G430 or something. http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/gaming-headsets

I've done the whole gaming headset thing and bought multiple ones till I graduated to real headphones the ad700 used to be around $100 (they now cost $150) I got mine for about $60 used.

even levelcap talked about the g35 just skip the soundcard and go with true soundstage optimized headphone and if you have to use the razer surround but I'm sure like me you will disable sound virtualizers when you use the ad700

I have a pair of Ath-ad700's and I love them. They take a bit to get used to due to how they fit on your head. They sit really 'softly' on your head, but I paired them with an Asus Xonar DG. Sound amazing :)

Virtual Surround is just as good as the so called actual surround i have 5.1 headphones Kaves and i only got them cause they where dirt cheap like 69 bucks i think can't remember they are great headphones but like the Corsair Virtuals are just as good.  This is my non audiophile type answer if your not an audiophile and just want descent sound.

I'd stay away from surround headsets, I had astro a50's previously, they sounded great and all, but nothing compared to my audio technica ath-ad900x + asus xonar phoebus

(you don't need to spend this much to get a better experience)

a fiio-e10 and ath-ad700x or a cheap xonar soundcard will outperform any surround sound headset.

overall buying actual audio-grade headphones is so much better, you get so much more for your money, better build quality, better sound, etc etc.

Surround headphones aren't really effective. Real surround is only applicable when dealing with home theater setups. You only need stereo with virtual surround in a headphone to get a good surround experience. Linus shares the same opinion.

I had a friend that was an Astro fanboy and it got quite annoying. He tried my Ath-ad700's and I could tell he was amazed by them. But he still proclaimed his astro's to be king....

Even though he payed out the ass for them and i got mine on amazon bundled with a soundcard for under 200 dollars.

my a50's were somewhat comparable, they did sound good, but its not nearly as good as the ad900x, especially not after screwing with my eq's and stuff to make them sound just how I like :D

I mean a headset that sounds better than a product that costs 3X as much as it is a win in my mind.

Don't get surround headset, get good soundcard. Surround HS is too heavy since all the electronics stuffed to earcups. Soundquality isn't that great either in game nor in everything else. I've got better surround effect with good headphones and Creative EAX software based. Only good thing surround headset has is better echo effect.

Have you given the CM Storm Sirus 5.1 a thought? Its a real 5.1 headset with multiple drivers in each earcup. It has a nice USB sound card control for on your desk which lets you tune each sound direction individually.
