Have you set windows updates to full automatic? So that it downloads and installs them without asking? This migh reboot when updates are ready. Other thing is that PSU might be faulty.

how do i do this?

Control Panel -> System and Security (etc. translating) -> Windows Update -> On left panel "Change settings". There you can choose how windows downloads and installs updates. Though it shouldn't reboot without permission. Vista did it.

Your temps are fine. Check your event viewer to see if there is anything happening around the time of everything shutting off. Reseat everything to make sure it's snug.

I have reseated most of it, however, what do i look out for in event viewer as this is the first time i've ever heard of it.

Does the video output signal drop and the audio send out an infinite loop of what you last heard? If it's that, it may be a faulty capacitor in the gpu.

Also check the power on/off button/switch on your case, one of my old cases had a button with broken contacts and would sometimes turn on/off by itself. This was fixed by stripping back the front panel wires for the on/off switch and touching the copper together to turn it on.

Aside from this, I have no help to offer, sorry.

I would clean the dust from your computer and to try an out of the box test to see if the case is shorting something out. Do you have your motherboard standoffs installed correctly?

no stand offs came with the case or the mobo so i just screwed the mobo onto the case normally.

Consider to check your peripherals, I changed almost a whole rig becouse a faulty old cheapo keyboard wich was shortcutted

I have a razer lycosa and a logitech m705

I know this may sound strange, but have you tried to unplug every cable coming from your PSU outward and then plugging it back in? It turns out there was a weird bit of plastic on my main MoBo connector that was preventing it from locking in, and often the PC would just shut off because it would move and one of the pins would miss. A bit of hot knife fixed that along with a bit of force to keep that thing jammed in. Might sound weird but try it and see how it goes!

You mentioned it was a new rig, have you flashed the bios to the most recent version?

This kind of problem can happen if you use the stock bios. I had a similar problem before, the culprit turned out to be a semi-busted gpu. Probably not the case for you, but failing the bios -try that.

Try removing the factory overclock on the GPU, I have a felling about that.

If the build is in his sig, the 300R should already have standoffs included: http://pliersonpcs.blogspot.ca/2012/07/corsair-carbide-300r-mid-tower-atx-case.html but you should install that one standoff screw so you can raise the board a bit more. If you are not using it, I would put electrical tape around each standoff in order to prevent shorts.

Yeah the 300R doesn't use standoffs. I've built in that case before.

Maybe the AX760 is bad? That could be causing instability.

FX 8150 @ 4.0 GHz, MSI Radeon 7850 OC Edition, 2 x 4 gigs of GSkill Sniper ddr3 at 2133 MHz, two 120 gig Kingston HyperX 3K ssds, Crosshair V Formula, Antec High Current Gamer 620 watt psu, all wrapped up inside a Cooler Master CM Storm Stryker.

Hey I'm having same issue. My PC will randomly shutoff without warning. What was the fix for you? I have re-seated all modular cables, an double checked all cables on the motherboard. I also took another look at my front panel cables, and they seem fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Shrimp

Edit: I am using a AX760i, and it always passes its self-test.
