Your Food Inventions

One very drunk night I made a Red Hot Grilled Cheese Sandwich Cake.

Started off as a craving I had. My ex recorded me doing this because I was acting like Gordan Ramsay. This creation has now become a common food between my friends and I.. And I very often get asked to make this. Just made a bunch for some friends and thus this thread.

1) The sauce! Melted better mixed with a lot of hot sauce. I use sirracha and tapiato. This making a very red butter sauce.

2) 4 slices of bread.

3) 5 slices of cheese (pepperjack pref)

4) Optional - Thin sliced turkey meat can be put on with the cheese for a little extra.

You give the bread a good drench of the sauce. You want this to seep into the other side and eventually the cheese.

Start off by making just 2 regular sandwiches on a griddle preferably. (bread, 2 slices of cheese, bread)

Get then a tad bit crispy and then take a spatula and press them down to get some of that butter flowing all over.

You want to squish them both and make them about half the original height.

Eventually the sandwiches will start to bubble in the middle (the amazing gooeyness)

Throw the 5th slice of cheese on top of the one that looks the bubbliest. Let it melt down a little.

Combine the two on top and give them a good last squish down.

Now you have what I called the Red Hot Grilled Cheese Sandwich Cake.

It's a little bit hot. Full of flavor. And you have to eat it with a fork!

I make 1-2 of these a week for myself and love them.

I have even put a hamburger in the middle of the two with some spicy ketchup and it was amazing.

Anyone have any wacky & good food things they do?

Mine is not exactly crazy, but I personally find them delicious and easy.

Get sliced pickels. Put them on Doritos. Eat.

:) I loooove it.

This wasn't me but we had this German foreign exchange student, and one day he got hungry but we didn't have much in our house so he grabbed a slice a wheat bread, some mexican cheese, and put it in the microwave, then when he took it out he put kethup on it. He says its the best thing in the world, but I never tested the theory.
