Hello, i install Windows10 today, from the microsoft website , and doesn`t recognize my serial number from the back of the laptop (windows 7 home premium) , what to do? Thanks!

If you're using windows 7 and the website doesn't recognize your serial number, just use the "white windows" icon bottom right to upgrade your OS.

So you downloaded it from the Microsoft website, and not from the popup, or Windows update?

Ahh, do you have there reinstall disc from your old install? If you do use it install Windoes 10 from the the popup in the task bar.

My win7 was already installed on my pc, without disc with windows

I don't know what you can do then? You can buy Windows 10 cheap online.

Hey man, I am in the same boat had win 7 license, upgraded to win 10. Got new CPU,Mobo and Ram yesterday. I had grabbed my win 10 key(different then what my win 7 key was) I used a post script I found that displays your win 10 key. Anyways I installed Win 10 tried to use that key, no luck, tried win 7 key no luck. Unfortunately unless I want to pay for a win 10 license, but cant afford to atm, and of course I left my win 7 iso and CD both at work, so I plan on installing win 7 and just upgrade to win 10 as soon as I boot into windows 7.

When you are asked for Windows 10 product key at the setup stage, click on "I don't have a product key". Then once in Windows 10, go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Activation, and click on Change product key button, and enter your Windows 7/8 product key.
