The majority of answers here are going to be R9 390.

It doesn't really matter. Whichever is cheapest I suppose.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Get a Sapphire or MSI 390, most of the time the 390 is faster, with certain games having the 970 pull ahead.

On a more serious note, this topic is one of the most hotly debated. I'm not gonna write it down again, i'm just gonna write my recommendation.

Buy the 390

Search the forums if you want a few thousand pages of ''discussion'' and ''debate''.

Are we going to resolve the issue by more "discussion" and "debate" with more the same thread everyday? Haha.

Why can't people just Google it as there are already thousands of threads exist. Do they expect we can suddenly have some break through evidence for this topic? Or do they want to see the same arguments over and over again?

Why do people have to start new "390 vs 970" thread EVERYDAY???

I lose faith in humanity.>:(

390 is newer than the 970 and it has better performance overall, so I would definitely recommend the 390 over the 970

Like I said, majority of people will recommend the R9 390.

I'll give the appropriate recommendations. For example: for a mid range gaming rig, I'll recommend the i5 6500 and R9 390

For light recording, I would recommend the FX 8320 and GTX 950/960

For medium recording, I would recommend the i5 6500 with GTX 970 (for shadowplay)

For intense recording, I would recommend the i7 (obviously) and an R9 Fury X or 980 Ti (I would personally go with the Fury X, but it's by choice in the end)

So you are going to lose your faith in humanity just because some new person to computer building asked a question. I have googled it but i just wanted some feedback from some people not a youtube video.
