Quoting posts with Firefox for Android sporadically crashes the browser, text inserted into quote when cursor is in text area

Phone: OnePlus One

Mobile Phone OS: Android 5.1.1 (Cyanogen 12.1.1-YOG7DAS2K1)

Browser: Firefox 44.0.2

 

When I attempt to interact with a quote in my edit box (for example hitting the control box to delete it), the browser crashes.

When I quote a post, the edit box cursor always writes inside the quote box, even if I attempt to move the cursor out of the quotation. The text is inserted in reverse at the end of the last line of the quoted text. This occurs without browser addons installed.

I attempt to type "that" while having the cursor in the standard text area:

Disabling Ghostery appears to reduce the chance of the browser crash occurring.

Bug with cursor inside the quote on mobile browsers has been there since new forum launch month ago.

It's a known Firefox bug, though as far as I know it is partially fixed in the next release. It's still not properly stable though.

Quoting is just a fucking mess on the update on any browser. Give it time.
