How should I expect this card to perform

Bion1985
Go to solution Solved by Coaxialgamer,

It will perform the same as an r7 265 or a 370.

You can probably get away with medium settings.

So I got a bunch of parts from friends to put together a starter gaming build. Specs are as follow.

Cpu: AMD A10 7850k

GPU: Powercooler AMD 7850 2gb

Ram: 8gb 1866ghz

I was hoping this would perform somewhat decently for 1080p gaming 30-60 fps medium - high settings. Anyone able to confirm or give me a realistic idea of how I should expect it to perform at 1080p? Photo just for the fun of it.

expect it to perform like a card of it's age i guess.

look at the games of it's day, that'll be about what it'll be capable of.

Depends on the Game. Medium settings without AA or advanced settings should give you playable Frames in most Games. Demanding Games like TR or Witcher will be more of a challange. Its a lowend Card, but for a Starter Build it should do fine for some time.

Ok thanks guys, looks like the r7 265 and the r7 370 both perform at or above console performance and graphical settings. So if the 7850 is close to them in performance t should be ok. My only goal with this build was console or above graphical performance and frame rates
