I just build a rig very similar with a black edition wd hdd instead of blue. It runs at 4.8 stable. Running gta v 4k at 55fps. bf4 does not drop below 115 fps. What can i do OTHER THEN PCI m.2 ram. Thats already on the way. What improvements can you recommend?

m.2 RAM? I'll be back.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

First of all , yes , single threaded performance will be slightly worse ( about 10 % , but overclocking will bridge that gap ). But since it has 6 cores , it will obliterate the 6700k.

The 980ti will roughly be twice as fast as the 970.

You will be using the enthusiast x99 platform , this will give you an upgrade path , especially with broadwell E coming out soon..

Not to mention : never use the supernova NEX psu's . Spec wise they may seem to be a great value , but they aren't good.? Voltage regulation is pretty bad , and they are generally regarded as worse than CX psus.

@i_build_nanosuits

I would like to see the benchmarks.And i would never buy that MOBO. Mine for 10 dollars extra has 5 YEAR warranty. And really a much better board.This can be said for alot of the parts on that list... bad reviews and no SOLID evidence that any of it is better then the other build.

in that case with $1500 I would sell the 970 and buy a 980ti + gsync monitor. I would also replace that PSU as you clearly have the budget for a better one
