Oh okay and thank you for getting back to me. I am very much appreciated. Also what is the speed difference between 1 2 and 3 PCIe , if you don't mind me asking.

PCIE gen v1.x:

- 250 MB/s (×1)
- 4 GB/s (×16)
PCIE gen v2.x:
- 500 MB/s (×1)
- 8 GB/s (×16)
PCIE gen v3.x:
- 985 MB/s (×1)
- 15.75 GB/s (×16)
PCIE gen v4.0:
- 1969 MB/s (×1)
- 31.51 GB/s (×16)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express

These are the numbers for PCIE gen 1, 2, 3 and 4. First number is 1x and the second number is 16x. When your motheerboard has 16x and you have one GPU in it, you will get those speeds. When you for example have SLI GPU's, you will have 8x speeds.

Neither one will bottleneck each other (of course there will be exceptions with super CPU intensive games or whatever, but generally it wont bottleneck)

But don't the old motherboard have old PCIe slots

yes they do, but really does not matter since even PCIE gen 2 slots will have plenty of speed for current GPU's

If it's PCIE gen 1 16x (which it seems like it is that) you might see a very small performance decrease, but the difference wont be big. like at all
