So I have been having this really weird issue with my Ram. I have 8gb of 1600Mhz Corsair Vengeance, and after restarting my computer and doing literally nothing. Shutting off every single program that boots up with windows. I am sitting here using 94% of my 8gb of Ram. Idk what the issue is. And it has been happening frequently. Causing games to lag and drop frames and etc.

Well the only thing that struck me, was when I got my new NZXT case. My windows on my SSD got messed up and then i had to do a fresh install of windows. And just past week or two I have been having the Ram Issue.

check in task manager if any applications are using oddly large amounts of ram.

Do you see any kind of evidence that malware could be lurking on your PC?

Dose Windows detect that you are using 8GB of ram. Could you have mistakenly installed a 32Bit version were it only shows 8?

Yeah windows does detect the 8GB of Ram

No, But I can do a scan of my PC to be sure nothing is lurking where I cannot see it. This is a fresh install and I didn't install anything from a bad site.

How many sticks of RAM do you have? One or two?

I have two sticks of Ram, I had them in slots 2 and 4. Thought maybe the slots were the issue and put them in 1 and 3 and nothing changed.

Can you remove one of the sticks and see what kind of changes occur?

okay so after removing one 4gb sticks. it says the amount of Memory I have is 2.1GB and I am using 1.7 Gb currently.

You can try what @LittleCarrot suggested and make a Live USB drive with Linux to see if you get the same issue.

@LittleCarrot Well this wants to take around 20+ mins to install for it and I really do not want to wait. I read on the back of one of my RAM sticks that it was supposed to be a (4x4) 16GB sticks but since I did a prebuilt PC I got the 8GB that wouldn't cause any issues right?

That should not cause issues.

Okay well After putting in my 2nd stick of Ram the Memory isn't getting close to 100% just sitting at around 20%. But when going to the performance tab it tells me that there is only an available 6.2 GB instead of the 8GB

Okay after checking bios I have my integrated graphics off. And I have both sticks in and it says I have 6.1 GB available to use.

Can you post a screenshot of Task Manager by any chance?
