    setup opinions

I'm curious of your opinions on this setup combo and your opinions on the price. I believe it's beyond fair. Parts list is in picture. I'm not trying to sell this online, the shipping would be horrid. Setup in action.
  2. It was sarcasm. I plan to use ESXi myself for... something, just because reasons.
  3. Right, no professional would ever virtualize. ESXi and Unraid were just developed for lulz. Google and this community can help answer plenty of question. TLDR just scimmed.
  4. Has anyone explained yet that PCIe lanes and slots are not the same thing?
  5. Still looking for answers. I sill haven't heard from EMC. I think that port might be similar to HP's local I/O breakout cable port. I can't seem to find a cable that fits. Anybody that has experience with these things and might be able to contact EMC to get a part number or something... that would be great.
  6. Obviously case compatibility is practically non-existent; I don't care. I make my own cases; I just can't make my own motherboard. The PCIe slot power is simple as hell. You're repeating bullshit.
  7. I don't care about any of that. Notice I asked for 65 watt and not 90 watt capability. BTW, it's less than half the size.
  8. Yeeaaahh, and Mini ITX can't handle X99.... #sarcasm
  9. Anybody know of a board like the Axiomtek CAPA 500 that has at least an 8x PCIe slot and supports at least a 65 watt CPU?
  10. You could also replace the entire cable if you can take the headphones apart. Might be a lot easier.
  11. He just said you need a multimeter. It's that or guess one at a time. The tip of the plug the left, next is right, next is common/ground, last is mic. (I might have left and right reversed). I'd start by guessing that the thinnest wires are for the mic.
  12. Thanks. Simplest way that made any sense. Now I just need a dust filter to put over it.
  13. You didn't watch the video. The air around the heatsink is pulled through it by the blower fan. There's also a small 40mm server fan pushing air in around the chipset.
  14. I built this because I didn't want to pay over $100 for a Lian Li or Dan Case case. Feel free to ask any questions about how you can replicate it. Build pecs are- reference RX 480, i3 6300, 450 watt SFX power suply, and some random Seagate 3.5" HDD.
  15. Oh, yes. Wasn't aware of a "hot deals" section.
