Or I could buy a new CPU and motherboard and run digital from motherboard to old receiver

I was thinking a Xeon 1231v3 and a H97 board

Technically Analogue is higher quality compared to digital....

Do you really need to buy a new one? Do you really need a new motherboard and CPU?

If it is not malfunctioning and/or broken then why try to repair or replace it?

I got a A8-5600K and cant really play BF4 with it cuz of the bottleneck. I always wanted to use my 5.1 but im stuck to 2.1 cuz I got no way to run digital to receiver but if i get a new receiver I can run HDMI in and then out
