Dual VS Quad Channel

I'm about to build my first cpu and saw that the mother board that i had picked MSI Z170 Krait Gaming ATX LGA1151 Motherboard had 4 slots for memory. I had also picked out Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory to go with it. Is it best to leave it like it is with 2 empty slots or should I get 4X4GB memory to go with the motherboard?

That chipset does not support quad channel memory operation. Just as long as you get at least two modules for dual channel, you are fine. Though having two extra free slots would allow you room to expand.

Its fine to leave 2 slots empty.

It's fine to leave the two slots empty, for the purposes of expanding on storage later, and your board does not support quad channel operation. It only has dual channel - the number of slots do not inherently represent the number of channels available.
